Privacy policy

What the archive collects when you visit it or write to it, and what it does with that information.

Last updated: 29 October 2026

Who is responsible

This website is run by Limited Liability Company «435 Films», Filatova Str. 10-A, office 2/14, 01042 Kyiv, Ukraine, company code 37242922 (“we”). We are the controller of the personal data described here.

For any question about your data, write to projects@435films.com.ua.

What we collect

You can browse the archive without telling us who you are. We collect personal data only in these cases:

  • When you write to us. The contact form sends us your name, email address and message. If you email us directly, we receive whatever your email contains.
  • When you visit. Our hosting provider records technical data that every web request carries — IP address, browser, device, the page requested and the time — to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
  • Visitor statistics. We count page views with Vercel Web Analytics. It sets no cookies and does not identify you: visitors are recognised only by a hash of the request that is discarded within 24 hours.

Why we use it

  • To answer your message — because you asked us to (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and in our legitimate interest in corresponding about the archive (Article 6(1)(f)).
  • To run, secure and improve the website — in our legitimate interest in a working, safe site and in knowing which parts of the archive are read (Article 6(1)(f)).

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising or make automated decisions about you.

Who else handles it

We use these service providers, each bound by a data processing agreement:

  • Vercel Inc. (USA) — hosts the website and provides the visitor statistics.
  • Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., USA) — delivers contact-form messages to our inbox.
  • Google Workspace (Google Ireland Ltd.) — stores the messages we receive.
  • YouTube (Google Ireland Ltd.) — plays film trailers. The player loads only when you choose to play a video, in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode; from then on Google’s own privacy policy applies.

The archive’s content is managed in Sanity, which holds no data about visitors.

Transfers outside Europe

Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where data leaves the EU or Ukraine, the transfer is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

  • Messages you send us: up to 24 months after the conversation ends, unless we need them longer for an ongoing project.
  • Server logs: as long as our hosting provider keeps them, typically no more than 30 days.
  • Visitor statistics: aggregated only, with nothing that identifies you.

Cookies

The archive sets no cookies and uses no tracking technology. If you play an embedded video, YouTube may store data on your device under its own policy.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. To use any of these rights, write to projects@435films.com.ua; we will reply within one month.

You may also complain to a data protection authority — in particular the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, or the authority in the EU country where you live.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect or how we use it changes, we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
